Dirk was my first subject. The abnormality of the expressions is only normal  if you become a still camera. And sequencing such abnormalities gives me a (technological) pleasure. Matt was an undergraduate student when we worked together on several photo sessions. He has been one of the few people I have photographed who can look look past the camera as if it were not there.

Aesthetically I am inclined to telling stories, which manipulate the facts and do not claim any authenticity. The fragmented nature of this medium makes it more flexible than a motion video.
 
There is also a cunning pleasure in ending the physicality of the work, and not just ending but setting it free, to grow in the spectator's mind.
